I am the technology teacher at Small and Kaler Elementary Schools in South Portland, Maine. I was born and raised in Pine Point, Scarborough, Maine and I have a wonderful wife and two very special little boys named Benjamin and Andrew.  We also have a puppy named Champion.

I have been teaching in South Portland for 18 years in 4th and 5th grade classrooms.  For the past 5 years I’ve been the Computer Teacher at Small and Kaler Schools where I work with over 500 children and 28 faculty members to integrate technology with the curriculum.

My undergraduate work was done at the University of Southern Maine where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. In 1990. I earned a Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from USM in 1993, and a second Master’s Degree  in Educational Technology from Boston University in 1999. In 2003, I graduated from the Master’s Degree/CAGS program in Educational Leadership and Administration at Southern Maine. I am currently enrolled in post-graduate studies at Lesley University, Boston.

I am certified as a Literacy Specialist K-12, a Computer Instructor K-12, and General Education Teacher K-8, and an Educational Administrator K-12.

My interests are reading, boating and fishing, computing and graphic design, genealogy, politics, and  community service.  My favorite things to do are spend time with my family and teach children.
